Dog Daycare Attendant
We are looking for Melbourne’s best dog daycare attendant to join our close knit team!
This is a casual positions of 3 shifts per week (5.5 hours per day approx.).
In this role, you will work at our South Melbourne location, providing high quality care to our clientele.
To be considered for employment with us, it is essential that you:
- enjoy practical and manual activities
- free from allergies aggravated by animal hair, fur and dust
- are able to undertake manual and sometimes heavy work
- are able to handle dogs with confidence and patience
- are interested in dogs and their welfare
- are observant and methodical
- have excellent communication skills and a strong dedication to outstanding client service.
- are expected to meet and exceed client’s expectations for the quality of service provided from our centre.
- must be able to empathise with clients and remain compassionate and well mannered under all circumstances.
- should have a firm belief in the quality of services provided and communicate this sense of assurance to our clients.
- must learn and understand our health requirements for all dogs attending the centre and be able to clearly communicate these to our clients.
- are able to provide for the comfort of dogs and sanitation of the centre by keeping the playground area clean and odour free is an essential part of the daily routine.
Education & Qualifications:
- Dog Training/Handling qualification or relevant experience
- Employees must be able to read, write legibly, and communicate clearly in English both in person and on the telephone.
- Basic computer literacy including the ability to type on a computer keyboard, use a computer mouse, and view information on a computer screen is required.
- Employees must have the physical strength and ability to lift and carry a dog without assistance.
